Globally there are over 30 Insurance Groups that offer medical coverage designed for expatriates. These individual products have limitations ranging from the underwriting and maternity to transplants and pre-existing conditions clauses. Expatriates are tempted to enroll into a local plan; however, local country plans typically have egregious limitations such as non-portability, coverage restrictions on travel and benefits, limit provider choice and no coverage with certain medical conditions.
Global Senior Plan
The Global Senior Plan by IMG permits the insured to continue their coverage past age 75. In order to keep this coverage, the insured must be enrolled in the global medical Insurance plan by their 65th birthday.
