Preexisting Conditions: Benefits are not available for any services received on or within 6 months (0 months for the TravelGap® Single Trip Excursion plan) after the insured Person became insured if those services are related to a Preexisting Condition. Preexisting Condition means a medical condition for which medical advice, diagnosis, care, or treatment was recommended or received during the 6 months (0 months fro the Travelgap® Single Trip Excursion plan) immediately preceding the Insured Person's Effective Date of Coverage. This exclusion does not apply to a Newborn who is enrolled within 31 days of birth or a newly adopted child who is enrolled within 31 days from either the date of placement of the child in the home or the date of the final decree of adoption. This exclusion does not apply to the MEdical Evacuation, Repatriation or Remains and Bedside Visit Benefits.
Up to $25,000 will be paid for the eligible costs and expenses of an Emergency Medical Evacuation arising or resulting from a sudden and unexpected recurrence of a Pre-Existing Condition.

Up to $15,000 for U.S. citizens traveling outside the United States and Canada. Age 65 and older the benefit is $2,500.

If you are a US Citizen under age 70 and purchase a minimum of 3 months of coverage initially, you are covered for an Acute Onset of a Pre-exsisting condition.
Coverage available is 10% of the maximum overall limit purchases, up to a maximum of $50,000.

Extension of coverage while making incidental trips to your country of origin
During the period of coverage an insured person may return to their country of residence for incidental visits up to a cumulative two weeks total, subject to:
A. The insured person must have left their home country of residence,
B. The total period of coverage must be for a minimum of 30 days, and
C. The return to the country of residence may not be taken to receive treatment for an illness or injury incurred while traveling.
If you are a US citizen, traveling for three (3) months or more, you are covered for Medical expenses only during one incidental trip to your Home Country for up to 15 days. You must continue your international trip no more than 15 days after your return to your Home Country in order to be eligible for this benefit. Return to your Home Country must not be taken for the purpose of obtaining treatment of an Illness or Injury that began while traveling.
TravelGap does not exclude illnesses or injuries resulting from a terrorist act, which is a general exclusion on competing plans .
This benefit covers you for incidental trips to your home country.
Maximum benefit is reduced to $50,000 while in your home country.
Coverage will be limited to $5,000 for conditions first diagnosed outside your home country.
